 Stapleton is new Dickinson Wright Development and Marketing Officer

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that James J. Stapleton has joined the firm in the newly created role of Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer, resident in the Detroit office.

Stapleton will oversee the direction and implementation of business development growth strategies and tactics.  His primary focus will be to improve demand generation, drive increased breadth of client relationships, and accelerate Dickinson Wright brand growth.

Stapleton was previously the managing principal of LEAP Legal consulting firm that helped inhouse counsel optimize relationships with law firms.  Prior to that, he was Chief Marketing Officer at Fenwick & West and Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at Littler Mendelson.  He has also held international marketing and development roles with Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Stapleton has written and spoken extensively on topics as varied as client service, business development, marketing and best-in-class operational metrics, and teaches a master class in marketing/business development metrics for law firms. He received his B.S.C. in Finance from Santa Clara University.
 

Honigman again named top workplace

For the fourth consecutive year, Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP was ranked among the top 25 large companies in the Detroit Free Press 2014 Top Workplaces in Michigan and the only law firm named in this category. The list includes many prominent and innovative companies, such as Quicken Loans/Quizzle, Title Source, Edward Jones and PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P.
Rankings were determined solely by employee surveys, including comments on the individual’s job and opportunities for advancement. More than 1,200 companies were nominated and more than 60,000 employees surveyed.
