“You treat your client as though he’s a family member,” said Miller. “Thinking about the future for them is important.”
Miller advised students looking to get into sports representation to check with professional sports teams and the bigger sports agency firms for internship possibilities. Many of these organizations, Miller said, hire interns every year.
Miller was a standout football player for Boston College, the New England Patriots, and the Oakland Raiders. He earned his B.S.B.A. in finance from Boston College and his law degree from Boston University. The firm handles non-sports legal matters as well. Howard Soifer was passionate about the law, sports and his family and was grateful for his legal education at WMU-Cooley. His family, friends and partners have endowed the lecture series in his memory.
