NALS of Michigan to hold annual conference

NALS of Michigan will hold its 54th Annual Meeting and Education Conference, April 23-24, at the Holiday Inn of Midland. Continuing legal education includes a Criminal Law session, "Domestic Violence 101: The Complex Dynamics of a Common Issue," a panel discussion with the Hon. Michael D. Carpenter, 75th District Judge of Midland County; J. D. Brooks, Esq., Prosecutor, Midland County; Daniel Duke, Esq., Criminal Defense, Juvenile and Family Law; Midland County Sheriff Scott Stephenson; and Janine Ouderkirk, LMSW, Executive Director at Shelterhouse. The Litigation/Personal Injury Law features "Traumatic Brain Injuries Unexpected Injuries: Resources Available to Deal with These Issues," with Jeffrey S. Leighton, Adjunct Instructor/Faculty Professor, Rochester College & Southern New Hampshire University; pediatric psychologist Todd Nadeau, M.A.; and occupational therapist Christine Myran, Vice President of Programs at the Eisenhower Center. Environmental Law will feature "Alternative Energy Solutions," with speaker Kim Walton, program director of Michigan Alternative & Renewable Center (MAREC) at Grand Valley State University. A full registration is $125 for members, $135 for non-members, and $115 for students, includes all seminars, lunches, and Saturday night dinner. Partial registration is also available.
