Harden and Beer join Miller Johnson Business Section

Miller Johnson is pleased to welcome Brittany R. Harden and Jonathan K. Beer as associates in the Grand Rapids office. 

Harden will work with the firm’s diverse client base on various transactions including those related to corporate finance as well as mergers and acquisitions.  Prior to coming to Miller Johnson, she worked both at a large national law firm and in a corporate legal setting.  Harden earned her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2012 and graduated from Grand Valley State University with her B.S. in 2009.  She interned in the United States Senate in 2009.  She is admitted to practice in Michigan.

Beer joins the firm’s trust, estate and elder law practice group and the taxation and international practice areas.  He was a tax associate with a firm in Virginia before coming to Miller Johnson.  Beer earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law in 2013 and his J.D. from Brigham Young University—J. Reuben Clark Law School.  He received a B.A. in 2009 from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Mr. Beer is fluent in German, having spent over two years in Germany between a study abroad and volunteering for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He was a judicial intern with the District Court of Nevada in 2011 and an extern with the Office of Chief Counsel at the Internal Revenue Service in 2013.  He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
