The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association hosted its annual Corporate Counsel Breakfast on Thursday, April 30, at the Skyline Club in Southfield. This year’s topic was “Regulatory Compliance and Government Investigations.” Panel speakers included Jeffrey G. Collins (second from left) of Collins &?Collins PC, Kymberly Kinchen (third from left) of TriMas Corp., and Sherrie Farrell (fourth from left) of Dykema Gossett PLLC. Happy to welcome the panelists were (l-r) Aaron Burrell, Michael Roche-Kelly, Courtney Shipp, Straker President Michael Jackson II, and moderator Rasul Raheem. “We try to bring in-house counsel and outside counsel together to talk about relevant issues in the profession,” Shipp said of the annual event. Some of the topics covered by the panel were “Building a Global Compliance Team,” “Best Practices to Mitigate Risk and Government Investigation,” and more.
