36th District Court celebrates July as Juror Appreciation Month
The 36th District Court is celebrating Juror Appreciation Month during the month of July to recognize those residents of the City of Detroit who have completed jury duty, and to highlight the honor and importance of serving on a jury.
In addition to light morning refreshments, each juror will receive special juror pens, wristbands, and bags, as well as a certificate of appreciation.
According to Chief Judge Nancy M. Blount, the objective of Juror Appreciation Month is to show past and prospective jurors that their contributions are greatly appreciated by the Court. A member of the Bench will greet the jurors daily and thank them for serving.
The 36th District Court would like to thank each and every person who was called to serve as a juror, and to salute all of those who have served in years past.
