Law Weathers announces new officers
Law Weathers announces that Mike Roth has been elected as the firm’s president and Kurt Yost as secretary and treasurer.
Roth has been a member of Law Weathers since 1996. He formerly served as the firm’s Vice President and Chair of the Litigation Practice Group, and has been on the Executive Committee since 2006. His legal experience includes a wide range of business matters, including contract disputes, trademark infringement cases, employment matters, asset and stock purchase agreements and real estate disputes. Roth has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating (AV) and is recognized in Super Lawyers and Leading Lawyers. A federal mediator, he is also a Fellow of the
Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only society of accomplished litigators representing less than .5% of American lawyers.
Yost has been serving business clients for more than 30 years. He specializes in business and corporate law with an emphasis on business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. His professional recognitions include: listing in Best Lawyers in America for Mergers and Acquisition Law, Corporate Law, and Closely Held Companies and Family Business Law; listing in Michigan Super Lawyers for Business and Corporate Law; and being named the Best Lawyers Grand Rapids Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law “Lawyer of the Year.”
Nyenhuis is new associate in Miller Johnson’s litigation section
Miller Johnson is pleased to welcome Christopher E. Nyenhuis to the Grand Rapids office as an Associate in the litigation section. He earned his J.D. from University of Iowa College of Law and his undergrad degree from University of Michigan.
Nyenhuis was previously with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, an Am Law 200 firm in Milwaukee. He has been a part of the litigation team for clients in multi-million dollar complex cases, and has recent experience with local and national clients in the real estate, construction and manufacturing industries.
