The State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section celebrated 25 years of membership with a special event on Oct. 9 at the State Bar of Michigan Annual Meeting in Novi.
To commemorate the anniversary, the section had a tree planted at the State Bar of Michigan Michael Franck Building in Lansing, which will be formally dedicated on Paralegal/Legal Assistant Day on May 6, 2016 during their Annual Day of Education.
The section also donated $250 to the Access to Justice Fund and $250 to the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic.
The SBM Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section originated in 1990 and provides education to its members through publications, seminars and professional networking.
