Attorney leads growth of Kotz Sangster Grand Rapids office
Joining the Grand Rapids office of Kotz Sangster is attorney Kevin O’Dowd, who brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial, business, municipal and construction litigation.
“We have strategic offices located across the state to provide accessibility and service excellence for our clients,” O’Dowd said. “I’m excited to be leading the growth of our Grand Rapids office and bringing to West Michigan clients the personal service and deep experience Kotz Sangster is known for.”
A Grand Rapids native, O’Dowd received his Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Purdue University and his law degree from Indiana University School of Law. He is an active member of the Grand Rapids community and has held the following positions:
• Past president of the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan
• Past president of the State Bar of Michigan Litigation Section
• Former trustee of the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
O’Dowd has been recognized in Michigan Super Lawyers 2011-2015 under Business Litigation, Construction and Land Use/Zoning Litigation and was recognized as a Leading Michigan Business Lawyer (2015). He also recently served on the P.O.R.T. Board at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, which provides assistance to families coping with pediatric oncology treatments.
According to Kotz Sangster’s West Michigan Managing Director, Sean McNally, “Kevin brings great skill and experience to the heart of Grand Rapids, allowing us to serve our clients in West Michigan and help them succeed. As we continue to develop our presence in West and Southwest Michigan, we’ll rely on Kevin to help drive business growth in Grand Rapids.”
