The Public Corporation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan recently hosted its Winter Seminar, “Local Control Challenges,” at The Henry in Dearborn. Among those taking part in the seminar were (left to right) Western Michigan University Cooley Law School Prof. Gerald Fisher; honoree Daniel Matson who recently retired after serving as a city attorney for 45 years with the City of DeWitt; and Kester So of Dickinson Wright PLLC.  “We’re putting on a workshop for municipal attorneys,” Fisher said.  “The general topic is challenges that are now building up for municipalities — both federally, statewide and otherwise.”
