Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Deborah A. Thomas (second from right) facilitated an expungement fair for veterans on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Legal Aid and Defender offices in Detroit. Also taking part in the program were (l-r) Rhonda Brazile of LAD, Earlene Baggett-Hayes of The Law & Mediation Center PLLC, Benton Martin of LAD, Karen Morgan, Jeremy Henner of Fowler & Henner PLC, and Monica Hoskins. The fair helped veterans learn about expungement laws and federal pardons to give themselves a fresh start and remove any barriers to employment, housing, and access to federal assistance programs.
