The Young Lawyers Section of the Macomb County Bar Association recently faced off against the New Lawyers Committee (NLC) of the Oakland County Bar Association for the 2016 248 v 586 Challenge for the Dequindre Cup. In the event at the Fowling Warehouse in Hamtramck, teams squared off in the football bowling pin game known as Fowling, a hybrid game that combines elements of football, bowling, and horseshoes. The object of the game is for teams to be the first to knock all their opponents pins down by throwing a football at 10 bowling pins which are positioned in a triangular format. Among those trying their hand at Fowling were (left to right) Sara Schimke,?Sara Rubino, Chase Robl, Tyler Olney, Rachel Gizicki, Noel Erinjeri, Laura Polizzi, Brenda Murphy, Victoria King, Jeff Kaplan, Frank Briguglio, Tom Landa, Laura Marji, Sherman Abdo, Jonathan Martone and James Martone. For the third year in a row, the OCBA NLC team prevailed. This year’s final score was 10-9.
