The title of this year’s legal history vignette is “On Michigan Supreme Court Visionaries, or @LoriBuiteweg on @MiSupremeCourt #Drivingchange and #Sbmfuturelaw” by State Bar of Michigan President Lori Buiteweg.
Also speaking will be the court’s newest justice, Joan Larsen, who will share memories of recently deceased U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
After graduating from Northwestern University School of Law, Larsen clerked for the Scalia.
The luncheon, which begins after a short reception at 11:30 a.m., is open to all persons interested in Michigan’s legal history.
The cost per person is $40; a table for eight can be purchased for $320.
