On March 6, National Bar Association President and civil rights attorney, Benjamin Crump, attorney Carl Collins and attorney Robyn L. McCoy met with some of the City of Flint residents at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church. This meeting was a part of a concerted effort by the National Bar Association and its members to help the residents of Flint combat the effects of the water crisis. The National Bar Association previously did a call to action on February 1 to all of its national and local members to attend a town hall meeting in Flint at First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church to meet with the residents and discuss ways to effectively resolve the water crisis. Crump plans to return to Flint in the upcoming months to talk to more residents about the resources that are available to them and their children.
