The RESTORE Foundation and the Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities joined forces May 20 for a special program at WMU Cooley Law School in Auburn Hills. Julie Brenner (left), executive director of the ACHC, and retired Oakland County Circuit Judge Edward Sosnick, president of RESTORE, were among the speakers at the event, which served as the launch for a Coordinated Community Response Council designed to respond to the needs of “at risk young adults in Oakland County.” The Response Council, according to Brenner and Sosnick, will “promote and support a collaboration among all agencies and groups who serve this at risk population” dealing with substance abuse issues.
