Jackson Mayor Bill Jors was locked up for one hour on August 5 in the city’s Bucky Harris Park as part of the fourth annual Lock-Up fundraiser for Save Our Youth. Jors’ “bond” was $2,500, the event raised $4,000. The funds will help Save Our Youth support many children in the Jackson community with activities such as library cards, free trips to the Jackson County Fair, baseball games and museums, and no-cost afterschool activities for disadvantaged youth including model car building, beginning chess, and cooking classes.
