Eugene Gargaro Jr., longtime chair of the Detroit Institute of Arts who helped build Dykema Gossett into one of Detroit’s leading law firms, was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Citizens Research Council during its Centennial Dinner celebration Sept. 22 in Plymouth. President of the Research Council’s board of trustees, Gargaro has been committed to the advancement of educational and charitable causes from the time he graduated from law school at the University of Detroit in 1967.
