What would surprise people about your job?
I’m a divorce attorney, so every day is full of surprises, but I think people would be surprised to hear how many of my clients contact me once the dust settles on their divorce to tell me how happy they are.

What is your most treasured possession? My house on Sturgeon Bay in Harbor Springs.

What is your proudest moment as a lawyer?
Securing the safe return of an 8-year-old and 11-year-old who had been kidnapped by their father and taken to Greece.

You’ve lived in England, Japan and Thailand. What did you enjoy the most about each country?
What don’t you miss?  I loved immersing myself in the different cultures. You learn so much about yourself living out of your comfort zone.

Favorite local hangouts: Katoi, The Standby, Phoenicia.

Favorite websites: Travel & Leisure, Andrew Harper Hideaway and other travel sites; FarFetch For Fashion, Well & Good.

What are you better at than everyone else you know?
Party planning.

Must-see TV: “House of Cards,” “ODD Mom Out,” “The Circus.”

What do you wish someone would invent? A healthy pill that gives your body the equivalent of 8 hours of sleep.

Who is on your guest list for your ideal fantasy dinner party? John Oliver, Blake Mycoskie, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Dorothy Parker, and my father, Arthur Woll, who died in 1990.

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would that be?
I love to cook, so I would trade places with Padma Lakshmi, the host of Top Chef.

What’s the most awe-inspiring place you’ve ever been? Sri Lanka. Too bad it’s half way around the world

Three things you can’t live without:
Besides my family and two rescue dogs, my wonderful staff at Woll & Woll, my house in Harbor Springs and pizza.

What your favorite charity and why?
The Humane Society – I love animals; and the Empowerment Plan.

How did you come up with the mantra for divorcing parents to “remain child-centric at all times”?
I think child-centric says it all as there is nothing more important than the well-being of our children.

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
I would host Top Chef because I love the show and I love to cook.
