Discussing ethics and professionalism

Incoming students to Western Michigan University Cooley Law School’s Auburn Hills campus recently participated in the school’s Professionalism in Action Orientation Program. The program was held in cooperation with the State Bar of Michigan (SBM). To prepare students for issues they may face during their career, local attorneys and judges led small group discussions about professional conduct and ethical dilemmas. Taking part in the program were (left to right) Ahmad Roby, WMU-Cooley Assistant Dean Lisa Halushka, Keela Johnson Gracey, SBM Vice-President Jennifer Grieco, Jim Vlasic, Todd Roeser, Genesee County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Farah, Ryan Plecha and Aaron Burrell. “This is our opportunity to introduce brand new law students to the concerns about ethical conduct in the profession,” Halushka noted.
