Jackson attorney Charles Henry Aymond, a member of the Michigan State Bar for 50 years, died on Jan. 25 at the age of 76.
A longtime business lawyer in Jackson County, and a member of the law firm Aymond, Lozier & Arora, Aymond was a native of Evanston, Ill., and moved to Jackson in 1947. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1958, Brown University in 1962, and the University of Michigan Law School in 1965.
After retiring from the practice of law, Aymond became the director of the Ella Sharp Museum, serving from 2009 to 2013, and returned for six months as interim director last year.
He was a trustee and chairman of the Jackson Community Foundation, a chairman of the John George Home, chairman of the Michigan Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, and worked for the City of Jackson on the AHB Hearing Board.
Aymond is survived by his wife Dana, sons Christian and Colin and by his six grandchildren.
A springtime memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Church on May 6.
In lieu of sending flowers, contributions may be made to The Ella Sharp Museum or the Michigan Chapter of the Nature Conservancy.
