Michael E. Moore joins Miller Canfield’s Banking and Trust Group


Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Michael E. Moore has joined the firm’s Banking and Finance Group in its Grand Rapids, Michigan, office. The announcement was made by Miller Canfield CEO Michael McGee.

Prior to joining Miller Canfield, Moore was a shareholder at Plunkett Cooney, where he had practiced since 2008. He has significant experience in creditor rights, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and real estate law, and represents national and regional financial institutions.

“Michael is a well-known and well-respected attorney in Michigan and the upper Midwest. His legal expertise and extensive relationships will enhance our already strong presence as Michigan’s premiere finance firm,” McGee said. “He is joining approximately 80 of our firm’s lawyers who work in finance, public finance, and insolvency and restructuring matters, not only in the Grand Rapids market, but also statewide and nationwide.”

 

Jennifer Puplava appointed to Cascade Township Zoning Board of Appeals
 

Mika Meyers attorney Jennifer A. Puplava was recently appointed as an alternate member of the Cascade Township Zoning Board of Appeals. The Cascade Township Zoning Board of Appeals hears appeals from zoning interpretations by the township, and reviews variance requests.

Puplava is a Cascade Township resident, and also serves as Vice Chair of the Township’s Downtown Development Authority Board. She is a Mika Meyers member who practices primarily in the areas of intellectual property law and technology law. She helps clients protect their trade secrets, trademarks, copyrights and other intellectual property, and she assists clients with the negotiation, drafting and enforcement of license agreements, cybersecurity and breach response plans, confidentiality and ownership agreements and other documents.
