Michael E. Moore joins Miller Canfield’s Banking and Finance Group
Miller Canfield is pleased to announce that Michael E. Moore has joined the firm’s Banking and Finance Group in its Grand Rapids office. The announcement was made by Miller Canfield CEO Michael McGee.
Prior to joining Miller Canfield, Moore was a shareholder at Plunkett Cooney, where he had practiced since 2008. He has significant experience in creditor rights, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and real estate law, and represents national and regional financial institutions.
“Michael is a well-known and well-respected attorney in Michigan and the upper Midwest. His legal expertise and extensive relationships will enhance our already strong presence as Michigan’s premiere finance firm,” McGee said. “He is joining approximately 80 of our firm’s lawyers who work in finance, public finance, and insolvency and restructuring matters, not only in the Grand Rapids market, but also statewide and nationwide.”
George Sinas named in the Top 10 personal injury lawyers in the state
Lansing attorney George T. Sinas has been recognized by Leading Lawyers as one of Michigan’s “Top 10 Plaintiffs’ PI Lawyers.” He is one of only two attorneys outside the metro-Detroit area to be listed.
Attorneys who are named Leading Lawyers are recommended by their peers as being among the best in their practice area. Less than 5 percent of all Michigan attorneys receive the Leading Lawyers distinction.
“I am humbled to receive such recognition,” said Sinas, who is managing partner at the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, which also has an office in Grand Rapids. “This is especially true considering the other outstanding personal injury lawyers who are listed. It’s an honor to be in their company.”
Leading Lawyers has also named Sinas one of Michigan’s “Top 10 Consumer Lawyers.”
The Leading Lawyers designation is one of many honors that Sinas has received throughout his lengthy career, including Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “Lawyer of the Year” award in 2013, the Michigan Association for Justice’s 2014 “Champion of Justice” and the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel’s “Most Respected Advocate” award in 2015.
Three other Sinas Dramis partners have been listed as Leading Lawyers: James F. Graves, Michael E. Larkin and Bryan J. Waldman were each named to the “Top 100 Outstate (Non-Detroit Metro) Lawyer” and “Top 100 Consumer Lawyer” lists.
