The State Bar of Michigan’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section along with the Labor &?Employment Law, Litigation, Probate &?Estate Planning, Real Property Law, and Young Lawyers sections presented “Mediation Advocacy:?Representing Clients in Mediation” at the DoubleTree Hilton in Novi last month. Speaking at the program were (left to right) Edward H. Pappas of Dickinson Wright PLLC; Earlene Baggett-Hayes of The Law and Mediation Center PLLC; mediator and arbitrator Michael Leib; Martin Wiesman of Weisman, Young, &?Ruemenapp PC; mediator and arbitrator Shel Stark; and Kathy Humphrey of Dykema Gossett PLLC. The program took a look at, among other things, how mediation advovacy is different from traditional advocacy.
