Attorney Robyn L. McCoy received the Cynthia Stephens Outstanding Jurist Award at the Annual Black Slate's Spring Reception and Awards Ceremony on June 15 at the BCN National Training Center in Detroit. McCoy is an educational advocate, criminal defense and family law attorney, who has dedicated her time to partnering with high schools, churches and community organizations educating and presenting information on “What to Do When Stopped by the Police.” The Black Slate is a non-profit, education, information disseminating, fundraising, community advocacy and civic engagement agency serving metropolitan areas as a public service.
