Warner?Norcross partners earn top writing honors at Family Office Exchange fall forum
Two partners of the law firm Warner Norcross & Judd LLP took top honors for three papers delivered at the Family Office Exchange (FOX) Fall Forum.
A global community focused on family legacy wealth management, FOX sponsored its annual writing competition, inviting industry professionals to submit articles placed in a central area for attendees to pick up. Winners are ranked by those who had the fewest pieces left at the end of the weekend.
Three articles submitted by Warner Norcross were ranked in the top 13 this year.
“We were pleased and gratified to have our submissions received so well this year,” said Mark Harder, chair of the firm’s Private Client and Family Office Group. “It is our goal to ensure we provide articles that are both informative and helpful to those who attend the FOX Fall Forum.
“As one of the largest family office practices in the Midwest, our firm provides a broad range of legal services to ensure we find the right solution to often-complicated problems. We have worked with generations of high net worth families and business owners and understand the unique needs of family offices and the families they serve.”
The articles included:
“Who Can I Trust to Be My Trustee?” Harder authored the article that explored the legal and practical qualifications for a trustee. His piece offered resources to help families select the right person or institution to act as their trustee, according to their wishes.
“Reinvigorating Your Family Meetings,” written by Susan Gell Meyers. Her article offered attendees new approaches and ideas to ensure all family members make attending family events a priority, resulting in an increased sense of purpose and engagement within the family.
“A High Net Worth Guide to Hiring Private Staff and Domestic Help,” also by Harder, provided information regarding the domestic employment process, from hiring through terminating, along with ways to avoid unwanted financial, legal and social exposure.
Additionally, this piece offered assistance in helping high net worth families prepare to hire domestic and private staff.
