The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association will participate in an expungement clinic on Friday, April 6, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Southfield Public Library Auditorium, 26300 Evergreen Road.
“From Expungement to Entrepreneurship: The Pipeline to Possibilities” is sponsored by Lakeshore Legal Aid, D. Augustus Straker Bar Association and the University of Michigan Law School Entrepreneurship Clinic.
In addition to the clinic, which is for low income residents of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties with state of Michigan convictions only, a free entrepreneur legal workshop also will be offered.
The entrepreneur workshop will look at how to set up an LLC or corporation, how to handle employee matters and drafting contracts and financial documents.
