William J. Kelly, a Jackson area attorney for 65 years, died March 31 at the age of 89.
A United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, Kelly was a member of the Knights of Columbus and past president of the Queen’s Board of Education and the Diocesan Board of Education.
In 1989 he received the St. Thomas Aquinas Award from the Catholic Lawyers Guild.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held April 7 at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. Contributions to Lumen Christi Catholic School or to Queen’s Elementary would be appreciated.
