On Wednesday, April 11, Oakland County 46th District Court Judge Debra Nance (fourth from right) presented “Town Hall Meeting: The Opioid Epidemic” at the Southfield Public Library. Taking part in the program were (l-r) Rhonda Terry, City of Southfield Department of Human Services; Eric Hawkins, Southfield police chief; Christiana Nicholas, Oakland Community Health Network; attorney Mark Bernstein, Bernstein Law Firm; State Representative Jeremy Moss; Tracy Chirikas, Families Against Narcotics; and Oakland County Commissioner Janet Jackson. Also on hand for the program but not pictured were Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard and Southfield Fire Chief Johnny Menifee. As part of the town hall, free Narcan kits were given out with training to those attending the event that wish to have one for emergency home use.
