On Monday, June 18, members of the Association of Black Judges of Michigan met with the Urban League of Detroit &?Southeastern Michigan in addition to the State Bar of Michigan Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee about the Face of Justice program. Among those gathering at the Hotel St. Regis in Detroit were (seated, l-r) U.S. District Court Judge Linda Parker, Eastern District of Michigan; Greg Conyers, SBM director of diversity; Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Michael Wagner; Christina Robbins; and Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Cynthia Stephens; (standing) Wayne County 36th District Court Judges Patricia Jefferson, Austin Garrett, Pennie Millender, and Demetria Brue; Oakland County 46th District Court Judge Debra Nance; and Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Kenyetta Jones. The Face of Justice program will take place July 24 at the Wayne County 36th District Court in Detroit when area high school students will meet with mentors and get tours of individual courtrooms.
