Jennifer Grieco, a past president of the Oakland County Bar Association, was sworn in as the new president of the State Bar at the second annual NEXT Conference last month in Grand Rapids. A partner in the business litigation firm of Neuman Anderson Grieco and McKenney, Grieco in 2012 was the winner of the State Bar’s Kimberly M. Cahill Award for exemplary leadership. In 2011, she was recognized by the American Bar Association for helping develop the OCBA’s Pro Bono Mentor Match Program. Grieco, the 84th president of the State Bar, is pictured speaking at the Golden Celebration 50-year Luncheon on September 27.
Robert Young Jr., former chief justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, was among the honorees at the recent annual meeting of the State Bar. Young, pictured with his wife Linda Hotchkiss, was the recipient of the Frank J. Kelley Distinguished Service Award. Marilyn Kelly, also a former chief justice of the state Supreme Court, also was honored with the award.
