Miller Canfield bolsters craft beverage, banking, litigation practices



Miller Canfield has announced the addition of three new associate attorneys to its growing Grand Rapids, Michigan, office. 

—Christopher Gartman has joined Miller Canfield’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Gartman has particular experience in the craft brewing industry and joins the firm from The Five Points Brewing Company in Hackney, London, where he was the assistant head brewer and quality manager while maintaining his legal practice serving clients in general commercial and alcoholic beverage legal matters. He is a graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

—Brittni King has joined the firm’s Banking and Finance Group. She is licensed in Michigan and Illinois, and comes to Miller Canfield from Andreou & Casson, Ltd. in Chicago, where she worked as a litigator representing clients in commercial, employment, and personal injury litigation. A large portion of her practice was dedicated to representing banking clients in commercial loan workout litigation. King is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University.

—Thomas Soehl has joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Miller Canfield. He comes to Miller Canfield from Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. in Pittsburgh, where he practiced litigation in state and federal court as well as in arbitrations, successfully representing clients in many complex intellectual property, international insurance, misappropriation of trade secrets and a variety of breach of contract disputes. Soehl is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, St. Johns College Graduate Institute, Loyola College in Maryland and Grand Valley State University. He studied abroad at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, the International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan, the Goethe Institut in Freiburg, Germany, and the East China University of Science and Technology, in Shanghai, China.
