Bodman attorney elected to UWWC board
Bodman PLC attorney Justin P. Bagdady, a member of the firm based in the Ann Arbor office, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the United Way of Washtenaw County (UWWC).
Before joining the board of directors, Bagdady served for two years as a member of the audit committee for UWWC.
As one of Washtenaw County’s most active and highly-regarded charities, UWWC connects people, resources, and organizations together to create a thriving community for everyone.

Bagdady is a member of Bodman’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property practice groups. He assists companies and their executives in commercial litigation disputes, intellectual property and brand protection counseling and litigation, and when faced with regulatory investigations or enforcement actions.
Bagdady is a member of the 2018-2019 class of Leadership A2Y, a leadership program offered by the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber. Bagdady is listed in Michigan Rising Stars 2018 under Business Litigation and in Benchmark Litigation 2017-2018 as a State Litigation Star and a member of its “40 and Under Hot List.”
Snyder drops plan to task bridge panel with tunnel oversight
LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is dropping a proposal to have the Mackinac Bridge Authority oversee the construction and operation of a tunnel to house a replacement oil pipeline in the Great Lakes.
The authority's sole responsibility has been to maintain the vehicular bridge that crosses the Straits of Mackinac and links Michigan's two peninsulas.
A Snyder spokesman said Monday he supports lawmakers' decision to create a new authority to oversee the underwater tunnel. Legislation in the Republican-led Senate is on hold while changes are considered.
The Snyder administration is working on several fronts to seal an agreement with Canadian oil transport giant Enbridge for replacing the underwater segment of its Line 5, which carries 23 million gallons of oil and natural gas liquids daily between Superior, Wisconsin, and Sarnia, Ontario.
