The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Washtenaw Region held a holiday party on Dec. 13. The event included the presentation of the Mary Foster Award, named after the first woman lawyer in Ann Arbor, who entered the University of Michigan Law School at age 49, and graduated with high honors in 1876. The award recognizes leadership, talent, and for providing a role model for women in the profession and women in general.
