On January 23, the Michigan Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society hosted a special event as part of its ongoing breakfast series. Attendees had the special honor of bearing witness as U.S. District Judge Stephen J. Murphy III performed an administration of the oath to the newly confirmed U.S. Attorney of the Eastern District of Michigan, Matthew Schneider. In his capacity as U.S. Attorney, Schneider oversees more than 120 Assistant United States Attorneys as well as upward of 245 federal employees in Detroit, Flint, and Bay City.
