The Michigan Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society recently hosted a special event as part of its ongoing breakfast series. Attendees had the special honor of bearing witness as U.S. District Judge Stephen J. Murphy III performed an administration of the oath to the newly confirmed U.S. Attorney of the Eastern District of Michigan, Matthew Schneider. Following the administration of the oath, Schneider shared a few remarks before engaging in a question-and-answer session facilitated by Past-president Brian Shekell. In his capacity as U.S. Attorney, Schneider oversees more than 120 Assistant U.S. Attorneys as well as upward of 245 federal employees in Detroit, Flint and Bay City.
