The Information Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan recently hosted a reception featuring a presentation on cybersecurity by Stave Balanga (pictured) in the Board of Commissioners Auditorium at the Oakland County Courthouse in Pontiac. IT?Section member Balagna, of Balagna & Associates PLLC, talked about what electronic security measures might be reasonable to ethically practice law and suggested some special electronic security precautions that may be necessary for a higher degree of protection. His presentation helped with understanding ABA Formal Opinion 477R, revised May 22, 2017.
