Biennial Bench/Bar

The Oakland County Bar Association hosted the biennial Circuit-Probate Court Bench/Bar Conference on Friday, March 1, at Somerset Inn in Troy. The conference, titled “Rude Awakenings: Overcoming the Professionalism, Civility, and Work/Life Balance Crises,” provided judges and attorneys the opportunity to interact outside the courtroom in an informal, solution-oriented environment. State Court Administrator Milton L. Mack Jr. (fourth from left) delivered the keynote address on “The Future of Trial Courts.” Also taking part in the conference were (l-r) Oakland County Probate Court Judge Linda Hallmark; Oakland County Circuit Court Judges Jeffery Matis and Phyllis McMillen; Oakland County Probate Court Chief Judge Kathleen Ryan; Daniel Quick of Dickinson Wright PLLC; Kari Melkonian of Collins, Einhorn, Farrell PC; and Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Judge Shalina Kumar.
