The law firm of Howard & Howard, with Michigan offices in Ann Arbor and Royal Oak, and also in Nevada and Illinois, donated $12,500 to the Michigan Warriors Hockey Program, a nonprofit that provides disabled veterans the opportunity to play hockey while helping improve mental and physical health.
Through donations, more than 160 veterans have been provided with equipment, ice time, and volunteers and coaches
“This generous gift from Howard & Howard will enable us to take a team to the 2019 Toyota-USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival held in Wesley Chapel, Florida in late March,” said Michigan Warriors CEO and President Josh Krajewski.
The donation is part of the law firm’s “12 Months of Giving” charitable campaign involving all of the firm’s offices and communities. As part of its 150th anniversary, Howard & Howard will work with community and charitable groups in Michigan, Illinois, and Nevada, volunteering and donating more than $150,000 through 2019.
The donation was made official at a reception hosted by Howard & Howard. Guests included the Michigan Warriors Hockey family, friends and supporters; and Howard & Howard clients and firm personnel.
