Peter Nolan, an attorney and counselor with the Legacy Law Center in Ann Arbor, is the oldest of five children who grew up in Plymouth. A lifelong fan of the University of Michigan, he was proud to follow his father and both paternal grandparents to U-M, where he studied political science, knowing he would attend law school after graduating.

Nolan earned his J.D. from Wayne State Law School, where he participated in both Moot Court and Law Review; interned for Judge Greg Bill in the Wayne Third Circuit Court, clerked for Morgan & Meyers PLC in Dearborn, and externed for the Office of the City Attorney in Ann Arbor.

Nolan then spent a couple of years as an insurance defense litigator in the Detroit area, before going back to school and receiving his MBA from Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business in three semesters.

He has worked in estate planning and elder law services since February 2018, and feels lucky to be able to help clients plan for their future and protect themselves and their loved ones.

Peter is married to Katie Nolan, a nurse at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and takes every opportunity to see his extended family in New Orleans and visit his parents’ lake house in Pinckney.
