hundreds of students along with numerous judges and attorney volunteers gathered at the Macomb County Courthouse last month for the 2019 Macomb Regional High School Mock Trial Competitions. The event was sponsored by the Macomb County Bar Foundation in partnership with the Michigan Center for Civil Education. Judges (Circuit Court Judge James Maceroni pictured) were on hand to hear the cases and attorneys scored the student’s skills and played the role of court officers. Finalists Cardinal Mooney and Grosse Pointe South advanced to the state finals.
