Grand Haven Main Street’s tenth ArtWalk is inviting artists to join in Grand Haven’s annual celebration of art, Sept. 17-Oct. 7. “Taking what ArtPrize started ten years ago as an opportunity to engage and connect communities and people through the arts, Grand Haven’s two week ArtWalk celebration ... continues to grow after ten years of success,” said Steve Loftis, co-chair of the event.
Over 50 venues throughout the downtown, waterfront and centertown of Grand Haven have been selected, and are looking for artists to register and participate. Sign up closes Aug. 16.
“With the inspired success and outreach of the Grand Rapids ArtPrize competition and celebration we are fully committed, each year, to bringing a high quality, walkable art experience to our community and beyond,” said Carolyn Taylor, Grand Haven Main Street board chair.
Registration for ArtWalk 2019 can be accessed in person at the Grand Haven Main Street offices in city hall or at ghartwalk.com. “Artists are asked to connect with a venue and make arrangements for the display of their art,” said Taylor. A list of available venues is posted on the website above. Newthis year will be recycled art.
