Varnum attorney Linsey Gleason joins YMCA board
Varnum attorney Linsey Gleason has been named to the board of directors for the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids.The YMCA is one of West Michigan’s leading nonprofits, dedicated to ensuring a stronger, healthier community for all and a commitment to nurturing the potential of youth.
In addition to its fitness offerings, the YMCA offers a wide variety of programs and classes, including cooking, nutrition and gardening, as well as day and overnight camp opportunities.
Gleason, a partner on the Estate Planning Practice Team, provides full service estate plan preparation for her clients, focusing on estate and trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship services, elder law advice and special needs trusts.
She is also very active in several other community organizations. She serves on the boards of the Grand Rapids Public Museum Foundation and Senior Neighbors, Inc., and also on the campaign cabinet for Grand Rapids Whitewater, Inc.
Gleason is the former winner of a number of awards, including the Center for Community Leadership’s "Create GReat" award, which is given to recognize members of the CCL community “for exceptional work that makes Grand Rapids a community of uncommon greatness;” one of the Grand Rapids Bar Association’s 3-in-10 awards in 2017; and one of the 40 Under Forty class of 2015, named by the Grand Rapids Business Journal. She also regularly appears on the Super Lawyer and Best Lawyer lists.
