The Muskegon Health Disparities Coalition is hosting a FREE movie screening of the documentary Unnatural Causes: Episode 1: In Sickness and In Wealth on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the Harbor Cinema, Muskegon. The film is a 56-minute episode and will be followed by a 1 hour facilitated discussion.
Unnatural Causes has won extensive media coverage and has been hailed by the press as a fresh and invaluable contribution to the national dialogue on health. Newsweek noted that the series "offer plenty of background ... but the film's power comes not from experts or statistics but stories of real people." Thousands of groups are using this series for education and advocacy.
Note: The coalition has shown this before and it was the subject of an Examiner article in the past. It is disturbing information, but well worth seeing.
