The Michigan Chapter of the American Constitution Society recently presented “An Inside Scoop on Carpenter v. United States” at the Detroit offices of Bodman PLC. The lunch-time discussion featured guest speaker Harold Gurewitz (center), of Gurewitz Raben PLC, who successfully argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in the landmark case Carpenter v. United States that the Fourth Amendment prohibits the warrantless search and seizure of cell phone records. Among those on hand to hear from Gurewitz were (left to right) Alex Markel, Jeff Raphelson, Mary Ellen Gurewitz, Erica Shell, Ian Williams and Matt Monahan.
