The annual joint luncheon of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, and the Historical Society of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan took place Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Atheneum Hotel in Detroit. During the event, the annual Barbara J. Rom Award for Bankruptcy Excellence was presented to Richardo Kilpatrick. On hand to accept the award was Carole Kilpatrick (fourth from right). Among those attending the luncheon were (l-r) FBA President-Elect Fred Herrmann, FBA Program Chair George Donnini, Barbara Rom, FBA Secretary-Treasurer Jennifer Newby, FBA Vice President Dan Sharkey, FBA President Matt Lund, and FBA Immediate Past President Saura Sahu. The event also featured the presentation of the Federal Bar Foundation’s annual Rakow Scholarship Awards to students from each of Michigan’s law schools and a Historical Society program featuring speaker Samuel Damren.
