Baginski joins Rhoades McKee as associate

A recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, Adam Baginski joins the Business Law, Real Estate Law, and the Estate Planning and Administration teams of Rhoades McKee.  He will assist business owners in navigating the corporate landscape including governance, real estate, tax and succession issues.

Baginski worked with Rhoades McKee as a Summer Clerk in 2018.  While in law school, he volunteered at a low-income tax clinic, assisting  clients in tax disputes with the IRS that often included responding to IRS notices, audits, appeals collection matters and federal tax litigation.  Baginski is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and State Bar. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Michigan.

 

Warner welcomes four new associates to Grand Rapids office  

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP recently welcomed four new attorneys to the firm’s Grand Rapids office. The associates are gaining experience in a variety of legal matters before selecting a practice group. New Grand Rapids associates are:

Philip T. Haywood, who received his law degree cum laude from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he was the executive outreach editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. He holds a bachelor of arts degree magna cum laude from Hope College in sociology with a criminal justice emphasis. He served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Lori T. Quillen of the Indiana Circuit Court of Owen County and held internships at Indiana University’s Student Legal Services and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Benjamin P. Nimphie received his law degree cum laude from Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Review of Banking & Financial Law, his B.A. in English from Michigan State University, and an MBA with high honors from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. He served as a legal extern for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center.

Malaina J. Weldy, with a J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where she was a managing senior editor of the Notre Dame Law Review, has a B.A. summa cum laude from Goshen College in business as well as a master of business administration degree magna cum laude from Notre Dame. She served as an extern for the Notre Dame Office of General Counsel.

Alexandra M. Woods, who received her law degree cum laude from Notre Dame Law School, where she was executive managing editor of the Journal of International & Comparative Law, holds a BBA magna cum laude from Aquinas College. Woods externed at Thor Industries in Elkhart and served as a judicial extern for the Hon. James E. Snyder of Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County. She was a summer fellow for the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations.
