Rep. Terry Sabo
State Rep. Terry Sabo had the following comment on Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s second State of the State address, given at the State Capitol in Lansing on Jan. 29.
“I am encouraged by the governor’s commitment to work together to find common ground. Last year, we saw firsthand how government works when that doesn’t happen. During an era of divided government, I am hopeful this event can help spur a renewed dedication to bipartisanship amongst members of the Legislature. The people of Michigan deserve fair and respectful budget negotiations, and as a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I look forward to working on shared goals with both the governor and my colleagues across the aisle.”
