Retired Jackson attorney Arthur Benedetto died Jan. 17 at the age of 86.
The Chicago native earned his undergraduate degree from Monmouth College in 1954, and his J.D. in the Detroit College of Law Class of 1968.
Licensed for 52 years, he primarily handled family law and business law at Benedetto & Bishop, P.C.
Benedetto and his late wife, Joan, were charter members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Jackson, where he was an elder and active with the church's Personal Care Ministry. He was an involved member of the community, serving on several boards.
He was an avid sports fan, particularly baseball, having been a minor league pitcher with the Baltimore Orioles in the 1950s.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2301 Ridgeway Road, Jackson, with a memorial service at noon, followed by a luncheon. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
