The Jackson Area Estate Planning Council met Feb. 12 at Bella Notte in Jackson. Guest speaker Marce Wandell, MSA, director of the Jackson County Department on Aging, spoke about “How the Department on Aging Can Assist Our Estate Planning Clients Regardless of Asset and Income Levels.”
Wandell has worked in the field of gerontology for many years, and has been director of the Jackson County Department on Aging since 2010. Previously, she was a Senior Center Coordinator, Home Care Supervisor, and Deputy Director for the agency. Her Community Services undergraduate courses at Michigan State University were at a time when most people didn’t know how to pronounce the word Alzheimer’s. Later, she earned a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University.
