Last Friday, April 10, the historic stadium of Muskegon High School was the site of a tribute to the graduating seniors of the Class of 2020, who will not be able to walk publicly to get their diplomas.
Superintendent Matthew Cortez threw the switch for lights on the brightly illuminated athletic field at 8:20 p.m. to show respect by staying on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds.
People watched from the parking lot as Cortez and Athletic Director Keith Guy roamed around the field inside.
